About Livework Studio
Livework Rotterdam is the Dutch hub of Livework Studio, an independent global pioneer in service design. For 22 years, we have been dedicated to improving how people live and work through impactful, design-led consultancy.
From our Rotterdam studio, we focus on humanizing organizations by using design to help solve complex problems and make solutions actually work for the people who use them. We don’t limit ourselves to one specific sector. Instead, we partner with both public and commercial organizations on any challenge where we can create a positive impact by tackling great societal challenges in health, transport, and government services. This approach requires us to work in tight, deep collaborations with our clients that often span several years.
Operating alongside sister studios in London, São Paulo, and North America, we believe design is about more than making things look pretty. It is a methodology used to solve structural problems, improve engagement, and build the ability within organizations to reach better solutions and ways of working. We strive to push the boundaries of what a design-led approach can achieve, applying it in unconventional contexts like the prison system. By combining highly strategic challenges with hands-on prototypes that make a difference, we view design as a different way of changing, leaving behind a lasting, human-centric ability for organizations to tackle their own future challenges.
