About Ifdesign
iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Hannover/Germany, is a leading independent design institution with approximately 45 employees and offices in Brazil, China, Taiwan, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the USA, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and Turkey.
iF Design has been organizing the iF DESIGN AWARD since 1954. With more than 10,000 submissions from over 70 countries each year, it is one of the largest and most prestigious design awards in the world. The competition covers 9 disciplines (with 93 categories): Product, Communication, Packaging, Service Design, UI, UX, Concept, Architecture, Interior Architecture. An international, independent jury of 130 experts from over 20 nations awards the iF DESIGN AWARD. The awards ceremony will take place on 27 April 2026, with 2,000 guests at the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin. The iF DESIGN AWARD 2027 opens its doors on 22 April 2026. Registrations will then be accepted until 6 Nov 2026.
The iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD promotes young international design talent every year. The best works receive EUR 50,000 in prize money. With the iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE, iF Design supports projects worldwide that contribute to the improvement of our society with a total of EUR 100,000.
The new iF DESIGN ACADEMY (ifdesign-academy.com) provide professional training courses designed to equip design executives with the right skills to further develop their leadership qualities and enable them to lead in a targeted and effective manner.
The annually published iF Design Trend Report and the accompanying event, the iF Design Trend Conference, summarize the impact of important changes on global design and provide an overview of interdisciplinary design trends in relation to technological and social trends.
